Beautiful & multicultural America



« There are really few brands that could sound more global and more American than Coca Cola. Its red-and-white label and glass curves are a universal symbol. Like the sugary stuff or hate it, its ad has long been about a certain ideal–the idea that people are many and one, united by simple things like a smile, a song, and a Coke. Coca Cola’s entry into the Super Bowl ad campaign had a message that was, as it were, Coke Classic: it celebrated the many kinds, colors, lifestyles and origins of Americans who are nonetheless one. Over a scene of these many Americans, it played a patriotic song: not the National Anthem, but the more accessible, singable “America the Beautiful.” It showed us a panoply of American faces, young, old, brown, white, straight, gay (it included what are said to be the first gay parents depicted in a Super Bowl ad), in cowboy hats and hijabs, playing, eating, and exploring all-American vistas. » (Source: Times)

I thought that this extract from the Times was perfect, I really enjoyed it and wouldn’t have wrote any better.

Amazon on top of the world

Do you remember the buzz around the new delivery system made in 30 minutes by Amazon ? The now famous « Amazon Prime Air »?

It was in december last year,  right before the shopping madness that was to occur before Christmas. Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos revealed with a video what could be the next delivery system with drones. Let’s take a look !

Big communication tool or real project, « Amazon Prime Air » has made international headlines, since december. According to Mr Bezos, this system could be operational in 4 to 5 years. There are obviously some technical problems with this new technology and according to some journalists, this new technology doesn’t exist yet.

A drone should be able to deliver product thanks to geopositioning, but how will it be able to find the recipient ? Which process should it follow to transfer the product? How to avoid that somebody else catch the product on its way ? What about the neighbor knocking down the drone with his gun? And those small details are nothing compared to the legal problems that will be encountered while using drones to deliver. Currently, the use of such drones with a commercial aim is totally forbidden in the USA. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the organism that regulates those objects forecasts  a new legal frame by 2015.


 Many questions are still to be asked, but I have to say that I believe, this will happen soon or later.

Meanwhile, delivering by drones or not, Amazon is on its way to win the book battle in France.  According to Xerfi Agency, the e-commerce giant will become the first bookseller by 2017, defeating big French companies such as Fnac ( 600 million turnover) and E.Leclerc.

Intense Coffee

Hello again,

Last time, If you saw my post, you probably understood that I really loved this new commercial from Kusmi Tea, full of poesy and truth. Today, I’m introducing a new one that I recently saw on TV. This commercial is coming from the brand Carte Noire, a coffee brand owned by Mondelēz International.

Intense Commercial. Explosive, fast, efficient.


The Story

Carte Noire reveals, with this new commercial, the origin of its coffee and presents Carte Noire roasting, in its new ad called « Feu & Glace » (Fire & Ice). A magnificent metaphor of the coffee roasting process. As we know, ice extinguishes fire, as a consequence, a cold shower instantly stops the roasting to catch the best of coffee flavors &  taste.

In this new short movie made by BETC agency, a short action movie, intense and progressive; two worlds are struggling, Ice VS Fire.
A spectacular show is offered between dance and real action until the final scene when the two elements meet and create the Carte Noire coffee grain.

An elegant print campaign is coming along the movie, demonstrating once again that the meeting between those two elements creates the perfect  coffee grain and this incredible taste.




Recently, I also read that Carte Noire was getting even more innovative with this new Transmedia Campaign in partnership with Microsoft. The idea behind it: around an interactive game, Carte Noire will display its brand new campaign on all the numeric screens.

Since yesterday, Xbox, MSN and Skype users are able to discover on their screens, in responsive design, the new Carte Noire Game. Obviously, delivering the same message and codes than in the ad, this game was specially developed to work with Kinect & tactil platforms.

Undress the blends with Kusmi Tea

Hello everyone,

First article on my website. How to begin?

Well, I wanted to share with you a new commercial campaign that came out in January in France. Kusmi Tea is a really well known Tea House which was created in 1867. They have been creating since then their blends and delivering the best of colors in premium Teas.

For their first TV commercial campaign, called « La Beauté des Mélanges » displayed in France on various channels (TF1, Canal+, BFM et iTélé) and in theaters, they did an incredible job full of poesy and creativity.


For this campaign Kusmi Tea asked the agency Quai des Orfèvres to take on the challenge and design this campaign with 3 short commercials featuring their well known blends: Prince Wladmir, Sweet Love & BB Detox. Kusmi Tea has always had a strong visual identity with loads of colors and creative packagings, today, Kusmi Tea reinforces its brand image with sensuality and beauty.


In each one of these short movies, we find two characters swimming together in an apartment filled with water. Attracting and seducing the other, they finally end up unifying. With this sweet poesy, Kusmi Tea offers a wonderful show which highlights the blends and the marriage of the perfect flavors.
